Overview

A soft starter is a device used in motor control applications to gradually ramp up the voltage and current supplied to an electric motor, rather than applying full power abruptly. This helps in reducing the mechanical and electrical stress on the motor and the connected machinery during startup. Soft starters are typically employed in situations where a direct-on-line (DOL) start would result in excessive mechanical shocks, electrical disturbances, or high inrush currents.

According to the voltage level of the adapted motor, XICHI soft starters are divided into low-voltage soft starters and medium-voltage soft starters.
